TECH High speed CNC Milling Machine

How it works

Unlike rapid prototyping (RP), which is defined as an additive layer manufacturing technology, CNC milling is a technology of material removal.

Possible applications. Machining, cutting and modelling of simple and complex shapes / all kinds of engraving/ all kinds of perforation.

Technical characteristics. High-speed 3-axis milling machine with vertical spindle for moulds and models.

Large working area
X Cross travel>  mm 990
Y Longitudinal travel>  mm 1490
Z Vertical travel>  mm300

Resolution
X 0.61µ
Y 0.17µ
Z 0.61µ

Positioning accuracy: 0.01 mm
Brushless servo-drive on each axis
High frequency spindle with automatic tool change and speed regulation from 6000 to 24000 rpm with integrated electronic inverter.
Maximum sizes of workable pieces 990x1490x300 mm.
When the size of the prototype exceeds these measurements it is created in different parts that are subsequently assembled.

Typical ApplicationsSatisfies all requirements, from design to industrial prototyping and architecture.
Creation of models for evaluating style, design and ergonomics.
Prototyping
Production and creation of moulds
Engraving and relief work
Creating models for urban planning and architecture, using CAD files with 2D or 3D reliefs or point coordinate files.

Advantages. All kinds of materials can be used, from high-density polystyrene to metal.
Time saving

Workable materials. Based on our direct experience, following is a list of optimal materials for the creation of models.

MFW WHITE POLYSTYRENE
Given the good results obtained, we particularly recommend the use of this material for initial study models created to evaluate dimensions and/or assembly function of medium/large pieces.
The particular type of white polystyrene we use gives an excellent aesthetic finish and accurately recreates the 3D mathematical model supplied by the client (the tool path is calcuated from the 3D CAD file) in reduced time frames and at competitive prices.
